This was our second meeting. To celebrate the first day of summer, we read The Sun Egg by Elsa Beskow, made sun weavings, created wet-on-wet watercolor sun paintings, and played at the park. Audrey loved the arts and crafts work. Ethan loved playing in the sand the most of all.
I decided to start a homeschool co-op this summer. My hope is that everyone will enjoy it so much that we will continue it on through the school year. So far, Audrey has made many new friends and has become even closer friends with the kids she already knew. There just so happens to be a lot of 6-8 year old girls. Ethan has become good friends with many of the younger siblings. There just so happens to be many little brothers in our group as well. He prefers running around the playground to doing the activities...which is just fine with me.
