After reading our books, we have been doing some apple crafting. Audrey and Ethan each made a stained-glass apple and a torn paper apple. These are classic September crafts, but all time favorites for us! Audrey also crafted "The Seasons of Audrey's Apple Tree" using construction paper and tissue paper. She really enjoyed making the apple tree change for each season.
Another thing we did that was really fun, was a blind apple taste test. We got 7 different kinds of apples. I cut the skin off so the kids could not tell what kind they were. Then they tried each one, described how it tasted, and decided which one they liked the best. Audrey and Ethan agreed that the Sweet Tango was their favorite. My favorite was the Honeycrisp.
